IN MEMORIAM: Her Star Will Shine Forever

Here at Bijou our hearts are broken. We're proud of our long collaboration with one of America's most gifted and spirited stars and regret that our dream of bringing back Matinee at the Bijou with Debbie Reynolds as host will no longer come true.

In tribute and in memoriam, we share here a gallery of little known, rarely seen posters from Debbie’s landmark screen debut in MGM's 1952 classic Singin’ in the Rain.  (CLICK IMAGES TO ENLARGE)

Here is Debbie’s appearance at the September 2012  CINECON 48 in Hollywood where she  introduces long-time friend and 1950 MGM co-star Carlton Carpenter from “Three Little Words” and “Two Weeks with Love” and presents him with CINECON’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Debbie’s remarks to her adoring fans are uninhibited, heartfelt and hilarious .......

TCM Big Screen Classics celebrates the 65th anniversary of Singin' in the Rain with two special theatrical screenings in 800 theaters around the country on Sunday, Jan 15 and again on Wednesday, Jan 18. More info here.
